SKF Marine has been in the marine industry for more than 70 years, applying innovative thinking and expertise to critical machinery. With the incorporation of the Blohm + Voss Industries portfolio, including Simplex and Turbulo, the SKF Marine product range has been increased.
SKF Marine products and services apply to many areas of a ship, making us a valued system and services engineering partner for designers, builders, operators and system suppliers.
SKF Marine develops, produces and sells shaft components, stabilizers, couplings and hydraulic bolts, lubrication systems, condition monitoring and condition-based maintenance solutions, bilge water separators and tank skimming equipment, environmental monitoring systems as well as special services.
Turbulo Bilge water separator
SKF Marines has decades of experience in the production of oily water separators and the comprehensive knowhow for their onboard operation and maintenance led to the development of the two-stage Turbulo Mechanical Phase Breaker (TMPB). • designed, type-tested and approved pursuant to resolution MEPC 107(49)
• fulfils 5ppm criteria • No use of chemicals or charcoals
Sludge Buoy - Tank skimming equipment
The Sludge Buoy system is designed to separate the mix of water and waste oil by using the continuous gravity separation of free oil in tanks. The Sludge Buoy consists of a floating rod-guided separating disc with an integrated buoy as one unit. The system helps to improve the downstream processes on board of all kind of vessels. • Separation of up to 6 m³/h pure oil • Function independent of the inclination of the vessel • No consumables, no power consumption, no spare parts needed
SKF Quickgrip Bolt
SKF Quickgrip is designed for high-torque rotatingflange connections – for all types of propulsion systems. Furthermore, the mounting of rudders and other critical applications can be performed quickly, safely and reliably using SKF Quickgrip Bolts. • Remarkable time-savings during first installation and maintenance • The risk of damaging the coupling when removing the bolts is eliminated • The bolts are available for flange hole sizes up to above 140 mm and they are fully re-usable
